The Book of Carried Questions

A small book of questions, to be kept near the bed, the altar, or the desk.

From the Book

The Invitation

Some questions arrive, are answered, and are gone by evening. Others stay. They follow you from room to room and from year to year, the way one carries a key whose door has not yet been found. This is a book of the second kind. It holds no answers. It was never meant to. It was made so that the questions you already carry might be kept a little more beautifully, and a little less alone.

Do not hurry to answer. Read one, then close the book. Let it walk beside you for a day, a week, a season. A question worth keeping is not a problem to be solved, but a companion to be kept. There is no correct order here, and no hurry. The questions are patient. They have waited longer than you have.
